Ask and Receive

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples.

John 15:7-8

What an amazing privilege we have been given. Jesus longs to bear His fruit through us! In all seriousness, Jesus has permanently decided to bring glory to the Father – through your life.

Ask

In this amazing statement, Jesus is handing out a blank check to all that abide in Him. He declares a promise for everyone who abides in His presence and fill themselves with His word – ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

As we rest in Jesus and saturate our hearts in His word, our heart-cry becomes His heart cry. The things on His heart naturally begin to ache in our hearts. It is from this place of intimacy and relationship that the fruit of God is freely borne on the earth.

Here is the kicker: we must ask! Jesus states clearly that the Father is glorified when we ask Him for His blessings. He has promised to answer our prayers and bear much fruit through us – proving His divine love and purpose to our world!

This is for Everyone

I want to encourage you. This promise is not for the “super-Christians.” This promise is for everyone who abides in Jesus – everyone. Take a moment today and bow your heart before Jesus and His word. Ask Him what is on His heart. I promise, God is faithful and is longing to talk to you more than you are wanting to hear from Him. He loves you.

So go ahead, bring glory to your Father and call down the blessings of heaven! Your world is waiting to see the manifest glory of God. Ask, receive, and watch Jesus move in your world.

It is going to be awesome!

Taylor
