Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death…Hebrews 2:14
What is more final than death? It is the sting of sin, the curse that has fallen upon mankind. Death is a cruel master – swift, unexpected, and final. When Adam fell from the presence of God in the garden, death also fell upon all mankind. Like a plague, death has reigned through sin until this day.
The Eternal Triumph
But Jesus, with the full commission and authority of God, gave Himself over to death. He subjected Himself to the sting of sin and destroyed death with His indestructible life. The essence of His nature over-powered death and through the Spirit that now reigns within us, rendered Satan helpless and defeated. With one final act of love, Jesus freed all of mankind by humbling Himself to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Death was no match for His Eternal Life. How could death, the curse and sting of sin, hold the one who is sinless? It cannot! From the inside out, death was destroyed forever.
Your Eternal Freedom
If the Spirit of God, the very Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, now dwells in you, how can death hold you? It is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you – the Eternal One. He will never be subjected to death again…and neither are you. As Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he will never see death.” (John 8:51) As we live in Christ, though our earthly bodies die, we will never see death. We have eternal life in Jesus – the Eternal Life.
By the power of the risen Christ now dwelling in you, Satan has lost his power over you. Because of Jesus’ conquering of death, the devil has been stripped of his authority and claim on your life. You are now free to live in the power and presence of Jesus.
You do not have to be a slave of sin anymore, you have King Jesus. No weapon formed against you will prosper and no scheme of hell will overtake you, you have King Jesus.
Walk in Him, your freedom. He is your Way, Truth, and Life. Be encouraged, His great love for you will never be overcome. We will never be separated from the presence and love of our King.
All to Jesus,
